P4 NW 2.0 no OC high temps

I have P4 NW 2.0 with stock HSF and Titan Silver Paste and my temps are 45c idle / 56c load (at 2.0). When I OC it to 2.26 (113 FSB), it's the same. Is the paste the problem? Should I replace it with AS3?

Those are great temperatures. I wouldn't touch the hsf at all. If you try to go higher, and require a voltage increase,
you are then more likely to see a resultant temp increase.

I think that the temps are too high. When i read some threads, i see for example 2.4 ghz / 45c load stock HSF w/ AS3. Should I buy AS3 too? What do you guys think?

temps wont really increase until you start adding voltage.
go higher - keep an eye on temps.

could just be your board. (which is a ....?)
im gonna assume you have good case cooling and arent sitting a 30*C room.

IMO those temps are way to high for a 2.0A. My 2.0A @ 2.0 GHz idles at 30C with Stock HSF and Antec Thermal Compund, and 24C with the Thermaltake Volcano 7+ @ the Median setting with AS3.

I have MSI 645 Ultra. I know that temps will not increase until I up voltage, but i think that on everything default (FSB/voltage) the temps are high.

could just be the board.
Duvie had a MSI maybe he'll know if youre high/low.

try a different monitoring program?
you did remove the stock thermal pad before using paste right? (had to ask)

either way if temps aint going up - keep OCing.
its only a sign that your temps may be wrong.

Arctic Silver has not proven to be a huge improvement.
it works and its nice - but dont think your gonna drop 10*C from it.

is that titan stuff really bad stuff? or is it quality white paste?

Yes I removed original thermal pad before applying thermal compound. These temps are in bios and in pc alert 3. What other monitoring program should I use?

Those temperatures are normal for me when I have no fans in my case. It will decrease a lot when you ad some. It's not necessary though. Those temps are normal for a fanless system and are fine.

It's Titan Silver Grease Heatsink Compound

Silicone Compounds: 50%
Carbon Compounds: 20%
Metal oxide compounds: 25%
Silver oxide compounds: 5%

Thermal Resistance: 0.06c - in/W

I have case with 2 additional fans but i the mobo has only 1 fan connector. How can I connect both fans?

u dont need to plug the fans in the motherboard. unless u are really stoked on monitoring ur fans. u can always get a spliter at ur local computer store if u want to. Just plug the fans into the other 4 pin power cords that u have ur hd's and cdroms pluged into. Make sure u have some fans bringing air into the case and others as exhaust fans(blowing air out)
