OK, I'm going to continue waiting until September (for the Intel price slash) to build my new machine, but I can wait no longer than that. I was going to buy the ASUS P4T533 with the thought that the 512 MB modules for the RIMM 4200 would be available by then. However the more boards I sort through, the more problems I see people having with this board and memory. From what I can glean from these discussions, it seems as though this board and memory don't quite get along just yet. I need to decide by next month, and I'm wondering if there is a high end P4 board that would be comparable to the P4T533, only one that is stable. I was going to go that route because I want a top of the line board that will provide me with maximum performance, and cost is not much of an issue for me....but if someone has an idea for a comparable/better P4 board I'd love to hear it. Otherwise, I suppose I could go the P4T533 route and just hope a future BIOS upgrade will fix it, but who knows?

I would look for more reviews of the sis 648 boards as they become available. With good memory, they're almost as fast, and have features some Intel chipset boards don't have yet. They will support the new radeon 9700.
