I want to do the P4 voltage hard Mod.
I found this website has the following chart.

After reading through it, I found it rather confuse. (sorry, I never good w/ charts)

i have shorted Pin 1 to Pin 4 together to become 0 for all therefore the default voltage becomes 1.85V

But, his chart seems like a 5 pin diagram, yet he only connect 4 pin together to get 1.85V.

To keep this simple for me, I just wish to hard mod my Woody to 1.65V.
But I do not know how to connect them anymore............ I mean which pin should connect together?

I don't know about his wacked charts and method which seems so permanent, but I connect the first 2 pins on that row he highlighted with a single strand of copper wire form a speaker cord in a figure 8 patterned looped and pulled tight and I locked it at 1.7v...simple and non permanent.

I don't know 1.65v pattern, but if you have anything other then an asus mobo chances are the board will undervolt. I set 1.7v on mine and with theundervolting of the epox I got 1.64v.

check back threads here as someone had a much better diagram to do this that may have shown the 1.65v connection...

Duvie thanks!

I still using stock HSF, thus I don't want to OC to high, neither.

anyone got the idea for 1.65V?

check this one out as well....

P4 vid pin mod

With the 1.65v it apperas either you need to loop just vid pins 1-2 or you need to wire it 1-2 and 4....I don't know how you wire around 3 without touching it.....See how easy 1.7v is???

What mobo??? with mobo undervolting this may get you only 1.65 anyways and 1.7 is soo much easier....I only notice a 2c at idle versus 1.5v default.....Does the mobo offer minus vcore???

I think the reason he only shorted 4 pins is that at default the vid pin 0 is already a 0 in the chart...I also didn't need to loop that one to get 1.7v though the chart shows it.

Thanks,....I think I finally got what that mean.
Yeap I simply put a dot of window defogger between 1 and 2 and I got 1.7V at default.

Funny thing is that my ABIT BD7 now have voltage selection from 1.45V all the way to 2.8V!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
