P4 Mobo Recommendation, please

I've been charged with the task of building my aunt a new computer for about $1000 or less. What she needs most is stability. As such, I want to go with a P4, running on an established chipset with minimal driver tweaks needed and runs cool. I would very much appreciate it if others here would suggest good quality, stable, and somewhat low budget P4 motherboards.

im guesing you dont need any "new" features?
if not maybe look into the older mobos like asus p4b533 or the like

if you do wnt some of the newer features, i845pe is a good chipset (asus p4pe, abit it7 max2 ver2 i htink also, among many others)

Not really needing any new features. I'd like to get something that isn't very 'old' as I want this computer to last them a few years.

P4B533 is very good, Newegg had a refurb for $55:Q

I'd take a look at the Intel 845GLADL @newegg for 105.00. It's a MicroATX board which should be fine, 4PCI slots...which is plenty considering this board has onboard video, sound and LAN...If you want stability, Intel boards are the way to go....IMO

Latest chipset, 3 year warranty, you can use the stock cooler for P4. This board is ROCK STABLE.

Just gonna go against the grain here and recommend a SiS 645DX based board. The MSI 645E Max-C is a great motherboard. I've been using it in my P4 1.6@2.4 system for about 6 months. More stable than my old i815E platform and it can be had for under $70 US.
