Intel dosen't even have the mobile P4 listed on their web site yet, I have my doubts this is actualy a mobile version of the p4...probably just the desktop P4 in a laptop case (which some manufacturers have done with the p3 as well). I could be wrong though...somthing seems fishy about all of this ;)

Sure looks interesting.

"Be the first and get your orders in NOW, we will start shipping on 24th/25th January."

Pentium III mobile has been around for AWHILE now, but Pentium 4 does have power consumption / heat problems. Maybe those issues have been solved.

Either way, looks legit to me and according to GEEK.COM
Mobile P4 1400Mhz are to be released 2002 Q1

Hope they get here soon... I am in need of a laptop.
--Update---

Found these nice links:

JP site showing pictures of a P4 Notebook from CES 2002
P4 Roadmap from www.theinquirer.net
The inquirer.net mentions
"But before then, Intel will make adjustments to its Pentium III-M range - with price cuts coming on the 20th of January and again sometime around April."

That's pretty close the 24/25th January shipping dates. Can't wait for some benchmarks

I would think that 1.5ghz, 1.8ghz or 2ghz pIV's would be to hot and draw to much power for a laptop if they where the 0.18 micron version so I would hope they are 0.13 versions.

I'm still a bit skeptical about this....I would have figured there would have been an announcement of the mobile p4 by intel at least a month before it was availble in a laptop. It just looks funny to me.

I think Intel has been very quite about releasing P4 mobile since they originally wanted to release it OCT/NOV 2001 but missed that timeframe for Christmas shoppers. This allowed for vendors to liquidate their P3 mobile stock at premium prices.
