How much will these cost when they come out? Are they going to cost as much as two processors? I don't want to pay a fortune for them.

Rumor as it 700 bucks which is about waht the 2.8ghz came into the market and what Intel has been charging for its flagship processors of late....

Wait and see how the numbers turn out and what the real world benefit is and then wait until after 1st of the year and it likley will be done to sub 500 level.

$700 at Fry's. Last night I was there and that is what they are "selling" them at. You however can't get one until Nov. 14.

Let's just hope that Intel tricles down the HT technology to the lower speed grades so we can buy a 2.66 GHz P4 with HT enabled and oc it.

I hear Ya!!!! I only hope as I don't see myself wanting to buy one until it reaches 200 dollars or less and that may be by may of next year likely before that happens...

I already figure I will upgrade in a month to something like the 2.26ghz c1 stepping chip for 3ghz...then likely I will step up again in march or april to a 2.66ghz as it will be down to 150-200 by then and likely will be ocing to 3.4 (probably Intels flavor at that time!!!)....

I dont buy the latest and the greatest as I dont want to pay the price let alon I am an ocer so to get the bs\est bang for the buck I will always be feeding on the chips that are likely the lowest speed ones being produced at that time!!!
