Hey, just looking for suggestions for the best heatsink for the P4.

Some options from what I've been reading on AT:

Thermalright SLK-900
Swiftech MCX4000
Alpha PAL8942

I'm also looking for a fan that outputs at least 35CFM but is quiet as possible. I guess I'd prefer a HS that supports a 92mm fan (the 900 and 4000 do) so that I can use a more quiet fan that still generates a lot of airflow.

For fans, I'm thinking of the Zalman ZM-F2

Any experiences with it? It seems almost too good to pull off 38CFM @ 20DB.

I couldn't find any review or opinions on it, but if it can really do that, it seems like it'd be a great fan to outline my case and use for the CPU HS.

all of the three you mentioned are great heatsinks, i like the slk900 personally, but a fair warning: i am a thermalright fanboy

SLk-900 is best...it allows you to choose the FAn you want so you can add a Tornado DELTA, or a Thermaltake adjustable, or a panaflo low output for noise reduction

OIC what you mean. You mean it comes with a fan.

I thought you meant the fan and hs came attached amd were inseperable.

You can buy the 8942 without a fan and fit the 80 x 25mm fan of your choice.

Just got my Zalman 7000AlCu HSF, it is large but is nice and quiet.

I would recommend the 7000AlCu if your motherboard can fit it
