P4 fan assembly.. bent mobo?

I just put my first Socket 478 P4 together today and I was amazed to see that Intel actually includes a notice in their retail box saying that their fan assembly will warp the motherboard.

Installation was very touchy. I heard that plastic clicking noise as I flipped the fan levers down. It was also impossible to install unless the mobo was free of the case. If it had already been screwed down, there was no way.

Is this normal? Geez.. I was sweating bullets.

Yes, it's completely normal, Intel even has a picture of this in a pdf file on the P4 website.

Yeah, this is normal...While putting my wifes' P4B together, I heard those not-so-lovely PCB creaking sounds and just about seeped a little out my back end when I saw the board all pooched out:Q Some new boards are actually coming with support on the back side of the board just for that reason..It IS however ok though
