It seems that in a P4 system, the future of DDR platform is more promising than the RDRAM. Which P4 DDR motherboard would you buy? How about what kind of DDR ram?

i'm not quite sure you're entirely right there. personally i think that RDRAM NOW has a better future for the P4 than DDR, mainly because the prices are nearly identical (previously, DDR was so much cheaper that the bandwidth lost didn't offset the higher cost of RDRAM).

now, since the P4 will be ramping up the FSB to 533MHz (i believe that's what it is), there is a greater need for higher bandwidth RAM, which right now only RDRAM can produce.

i just built myself a P4 system with DDR, and i'm wishing I had gone the RDRAM route.

anyhow, if you're intent on a DDR P4 system, I'd recommend the ASUS P4B266-C board w/ a 512MB stick of Mushkin PC2100 CL2 DDR SDRAM (that's what i've got right now).
