P4 + DDR + ISA!!

Woohoo! I finally found a motherboard that supports Pentium IV & DDR, while still allowing me to use my ISA AWE32 w/ 28MB RAM for my music production. What do you guys think?

BCM BC845DL

Now... where to find the sucker? BCM boards are DANG hard to find. Newegg.com used to carry them, but they don't anymore. I found a place in California that has them for $190 (lowest price I've seen), but I will have to mail them a check. UGGGH! Other places have them for more. Any help on where to find this board for a good price would be much appreciated.

I think in the long run it would be better for you to find a solution to your ISA device crutch. Im sure there is something out there.

PCI is going to be around for a long time. ISA died several years ago.

You know what? You're absolutely right. I decided that the $200 that I'd have to spend to get that BCM board would be better spent on a $88 Iwill XP-333 + another sound card. If I want DOS support, I can just build a dedicated box from pieces that people are throwing away and stick my AWE32 in there. I just saved about $200 going with AMD instead of Intel 😀

Yeah, I was just about to suggest, instead of paying that money for a motherboard with ISA support, buy a new soundcard; there's stuff out there that's probably much better for music production - better device support, faster processing, and 24-bit sound encoding.
