Hi everybody,
I'm refitting my system a little, (New mobo, new Power Supply, new CPU cooler), and i don't know what kind of cooler to get. I've got a P4 1.8, which i have heard is a very good overclocker, and since i've been running on an Intel mobo, i have not been able to oc. I'd like a cooler that's going to give me a little headroom to push my processor a little bit. I have what i guess is a stock cooler now, and i guess it's running at about 40 degrees. I'd like something that will keep it there when i push it a little. Noise level is a big consideration, and so is cost. any ideas?
thanks

Most people find the stock cooler does quite well for moderate overclocking. You may as well see what you can get out of it before buying another for no reason.

An Alpha PAL 8942 with a Panaflo is an excellent choice for excellent cooling and low noise.

I ran my 1.6 at 2.66 on the stock cooler for a month untill I bought an alpha 8942. I did get rid of the thermal pad on the stock cooler of course and used artic alumina, before I installed it.
