Are all p4's/ celerons a MPGA chip because that whats my notebooks socket is a MPGA 478 and do destop p4s use a bigger socket or are they the same?
 
socket 478 is socket 478, the mobile p4's are compatible with desktop boards. Pentium-m's on the otherhand are not compatible.
