I know it is is Socket 478 but not a bad deal for a barebone.

That isnt bad you can pick up a 1.7Ghz Celeron for under 100 bucks off newegg.

Not bad for a midrange system. Not bad at all.

Newegg has Pentium 4 1.6A GHz 512K Socket 478 Processor 400MHz Processor Bus w/hsf for $138 shipped. Anyone know how well this board will overclock.

I hate those companies were you have to let your pants down (i.e. "sign up", name, email etc etc) just to find out about their shipping of that particular item.

for overclocking 1.6a, Id suggest to go with a different chipset motherboard. the other via p4x266 mobo that I know could only go to 112mhz, where as you could take 1.6a to 133mhz at 2.1ghz with stock intel heatsink with virtually no heat difference(+3 Celsium). Gigabyte has a few popular inexpensive overclockers boards
