P4 and Win2000 boot time?! how to make it faster?

I remembered there's a software for P4 cpus to boot like 50% faster in windows2000 on intel's site, but forgot the url .. Anyone who knows it plz tell me thx

Bump for an intresting question. My boot times are plenty fast now, but I wouldn't mind booting even faster. Now does this work with Pentium 4's or is it for Intel chipsets? Does it work with the SIS645 chipset?

Intel's Application Accelerator is supposed to make your computer boot faster....I wouldn't know, though, I've tried installing it twice on my Win2k machine and each time when I reboot to finish the installation, I boot to that blue screen that says - hey, your computer is ALL MESSED UP. Going back to the last good profile fixes it up, but then in my Add/Remove programs, it shows App
Acc. in there and running.
Very odd.
Wish I could make the damn thing work 🙁

Hmm, I seem to recall it was WinXP software, but I may be wrong. My WinXP boot time on my laptop (and we all know how slow laptop HD's are) dropped to 19 seconds from about 45 seconds after applying it.

i remembered there was a post with the link in operating forum b4... but i tried searching it back but couldn't find it anymore... the url was linked to intel site

The Intel Application Accelerator drivers are what can make Pentium 4 systems boot faster under Win2K.

They only apply to Intel chipset based motherboards.

The IAA are not for SiS chipset based systems.
