P4 advice.

Building a new system for a friend very soon. He chose a P4 1.7Ghz over an Amd 1.33ghz. (Capitalist pig)

So the questions are

What motherboard?
I was thinking Asus P4T, the manual shows a 20x multiplier so I guess it will support a 1.7Ghz. Any other suggestions?

What about a heatsink, this is a retail CPU so do they come with a heatsink? If so is it any good?
Was thinking Thermaltake Indigo Orb or are these just pretty pieces of crap? He wont be doing any overclocking.

Every thing else is pretty well sorted. Thanks for any advice.

Go with the ASUS P4T. It supports the 1.7GHz Pentium 4 with no problems.

The retail processor comes with a fairly decent (and quite large) heatsink. You can try that first, and then change to another if you don't like it.
