P4 533 FSB

i'm building a computer the motherboard i have is 400fsb but with a bios upgrade will go to 533. the question is if i buy a 2.26chip533fsb will it work in a 400fsb until i can update the bios.>> thanks.

I know I know i should not have bought this board but i liked the write up on it. VIA P4PA 400/533 it is a nice looking board.

Yes it will, it will run at 1700MHz. But this board should run at 533 right out of the box!?
