just was wondering what the trmps for these CPU's normaly run i nstalled mine in a asus p4c800 deluxe motherboard it runs relly well but the temps are awful hihg to me it seems at an idle the temps are
mobo idle 27c/80f
CPU idle 33c/91f

the i play commandos 2 and temps start to spike
Load temps are
mobo 30c/86f
CPU 48c/118f

the temps seem really high to me is this the norm for this CPU?
any help would be greatly appreciated 😕

Asus Intel both Canterwood and Springdale are underreporting temperatures. I am comparing that with Abit and the same processor and the same clock has about 7-10C difference. Asus also overvolts and Abit undervolts the CPU. Funny.

ok i just did a game and the CPU peaked at 51c/123f but motherboard stayed at 30c/86f if what u say about undrateing the temps on the asus board then the 123 deg. F is prob mmore like 130 deg. F . So then i should not be worried about theese temps ? i want to overclock this CPU soon but if the temps are this high at default clocks then overclocking will fry it for sure. escuse me this is my first from scratch build

But don't most Abit guys agree that Abit boards display a higher temp than actual? So if Asus displays lower, and Abit displays higher, what sense does it make to compare the two since they're both "wrong"?
