I decided to try to get a P4 2.66 in a epox 4bda2+(i845D chipset) as some people on the forum said this should work okay. I got the first 2.66 working no problem whatsoever at default and even overclocked speed, but the second identical p4 2.66 won't boot up, I figured the cpu was fried since the other one worked no problem, I tried reseting the bios to default and pretty much everything I could think of. After a few tries and I knew it wasn't going to work I tried it out in a dell pc of mine and the cpu worked fine with no problem, so the cpu is working okay. I tried the cpu in the epox board and again wouldn't work. I've got two computers with a epox 4bda2+ so I'd like to try and get this second to work, but the cpu won't work in either motherboard, yet the first one works fine in both. Anyone have any idea why one would be perfectly compatible and the other perfectly incompatible? It's very strange, and I can't even think of a hypothesis of why it won't work.
