UPDATE 3-23-03: Kiddie rig setup @3.42GHz, 180MHz FSB
Asus P4PE (non-RAID/SATA)
Corsair PC3000 (2.5-3-3-7)
PNY G4Ti4600
Antec TP 550W
Air cooled: Vantec Aerocooler
Folding@Home in progress, Load temps: 43C, Case temp: 30C, intending to go 6hours
Vcore: 1.55V (MBM)
I initially started FAH testing at 185FSB @1.65V and ended up here (and I'm not interested in pushing the Vcore either). Will be trying out some better RAM since I have come to the limit of the stick that's installed. As well may try my R9700 pro in there to see if that held me back the first time i tested this CPU. And when I really get bored will install my watercooling setup. Not bad for a mobo I had thought was not a good overclocking board.
UPDATE 3-22-03:
Tested this CPU in my mothballed Asus P4PE and right now have POSTed out to 195FSB at 1.62V....right now I'm loading up OS (thanks dbwillis!) and will be finding usable speed and will update progress. I am so stoked right now to say the least.

:Here is a specimen of the new class of multiple VID C1 steppings mentioned over at Overclockers.com.
Props to melon_stunner over there making the initial discovery of these things.
This is a first look to determine the limits of the CPU so the memory settings are relaxed.
Test CPU: 2.53B SL6S2 Malay Week 37 2002
Purchased at PC Club, Lynnwood, WA
default voltage: 1.525V
System:
GigaByte GA-8INXP, DPS in parallel mode
Watercooled: Innovatek Rev 3.0 P4 waterblock, Eheim 1250 Pump, Black-ICE Extreme radiator, 1/2 inch ID tubing
1x512MB Corsair PC3500
1x512MB Corsair PC3200
Memory set at SPD: Cas2-3-3-6
Tyan Tachyon Radeon 9700 Pro @stock settings
Antec True 550W PSU
WD80GB SE
3DMark2001SE Build 330 (all sliders on video card settings set for hi performance)
133 (2.53): 14301
140 (2.66): 15036
145 (2.76): 15419
150 (2.85): 16015
155 (2.95) : 16101
160 (3.04): 16279
165 (3.14): 16349
170 (3.23): 16490
175 (3.33): 16690, 17062 with memory set at C2-2-2-5
Notes and delusions:
1) all tests run at default voltage (1.58V in Easy Tune 4.0, 1.50V in MBM) except at 175 Mhz which was run at 1.61V
2) System reboots beyond 175MHz no matter how much voltage I give so I think I will have to rip out that DPS card to see if I can go higher. I seem to be hitting the same wall at 175MHz that I did with a 2.4B SL6EF that I tested previously...hmmm
3) May need to increase AGP voltage to 1.6V to see if it aids overclocking.
4) Folding@Home testing in progress at 173MHz. Current load temp=41C
5) I really need to get a copy of Q3A so I can do some timedemo fps measurements.
Its so late for me now, I'm sure I forgot some stuff but i'm counting on you guys to let me know about it. I'll do more tweaking tomorrow evening. G'nite.
