Another nice SL6S2.. ;) Thor86, What kind of temps are you getting with the MCX4000? I removed my Prometeia again until I finish modding a case. I ordered the MCX4000 yesterday to have something better than a retail 3.06 HSF to use on my 2.53.

Thanks :).

I get about 42 idle and 57 full load with the MCX4000 using a 35cfm 80mm Sunon fan.

Looks like 178 is about all it's going to give me. Happy with 3.3ghz with 2-2-2-6-2 ram timings! :D

Thanks!

Prime95 fails at 179fsb even with default spd ram timings at max vcore at 1.625 for me. :(

Just wondering if maxing them out (to 2.5-3-3-7 or whatever) would give you more...;) You're right tho, 178fsb with 2-2-2-6-2? Hell yeah!! :D

Using AS2, but I think the silver and carrier fluid is seperating inside the tube. Ah crap. Temps seem little higher relative to my 2.4, but I always thought the 2.53s ran higher temps, especially at over 3.3ghz. ;) Yeah, looking forward to testing the second SL6S2 from ya! :D

What is the cfm rating of your fan? Mine's only 35. Anything higher sounds too loud for me.

I ordered the 80mm TT Smart Fan 2 with the MCX4000. I needed a high-end P4 HS to add to my collection anyway. ;) The Smart Fan ranges from 20.55 CFM @ 17dB to 75.7 CFM @ 48dB. It should do the trick until I am ready to throw the Prometeia back on...

Thor86 getting another SL6S2? You have all the bases covered... :)

I must be doing something wrong.
I have a SLK-900U with panaflo 92mm 57cfm 35dba and
it runs 42C idle, 53C load, 22C mobo with 20C ambiant @ 1.664v actual, 185fsb
When I had the Alpha 8942 with 50cfm sunon they were higher.

Maybe so but I have had three of these and they all
run those same temps +/- 1C.

It is just driving me crazy that I can't get under 40C idle. :disgust:

NIce Thor...I am glad to see you get what you wanted...

Anyone else notice this 178fsb seems to be where a lot of the chips seem to be ending on this board??? I know pastorjay does!!! I even think thugs stopped at 178 as well....Hmmm coincidence????;)
