I have an ASUS P4T533-C mobo that won't get through the POST when set at 2.53. In the BIOS i have 3 CPU options: Manual, 1.9, and 2.53. the Mobo is set for jumper free. it only boots up when set at 1.9. Any help with this problem would be appreciated. Thanks.
Try flashing the BIOS under 1.9 since that is stable and then try to get the machine to boot at 2.53. I'm going to assume you have everything clocked properly in the BIOS so I would try that.
Isnt it something like 100fsb (400fsb-P4) is 800mhz on the RDRam and 133fsb (533fsb-P4) is like 1066mhz on the RDRam..sounds like your rdram is overcloked and cant handle it..there should be a ratio you can set to lower the speed of your RDRam...
Yes, you have a processor with a clock multiplier of 19, and your ram can only support FSB of 100MHZ. You need PC1066 RDRAM to run at the 133FSB, provided your motherboard supports it.
Is there a way to run my processor at 2.53 and my memory at 800mhz? Everything on the motherboard is set properly. just not sure if its all set right in the bios. my motherboard users guide says it supports 800mhz rdram, so i should be able to run at 2.53 with 800mhz memory. Just not sure how to set up the bios. Anybody have an idea of what i need to change to make it work?
