P4 2.53 for a discount $243 - 62% *CONFIRMED* now XP rocks!!!

SCORE!

By the way, one would think Hardware would stop with his *CONFIRMED* BS...but no, he persists...like the (annoying) little engine that could (annoy). 😉

EDIT: Hardware, sorry for the harshness of that second sentence...I forgot the wink. But really...*CONFIRMED*?

Terrific news on the price drop, but is going from 2.4Ghz overclocked to 3Ghz overclocked really a worthy speed increase?

Well the 2.53 is selling like hot now.
I can sell my old 1.8 (2.4) for a good price so I get the 2.53 for free.
For AMD I can only buy a 2100+ at my dealer

right now with
P4 1.8 ?179
p4 2.0 ?212
P4 2.5 ?263

its a deadly blow to overclockers too is makes simply no sense anymore to spend 24+ hours to save ?50

hmm, too bad it is almost $100 too much imo. I would just go with the XP 21/2200+ for the minimal everyday difference.

Oh my gosh...its BACK! lol many people use the *confirmed* thing in their thread titles mocking Hardware, so I didn't think this was him...but oh it was! And he is back in full force, no link, and as little information as possible 🙂

Didn't make 3Ghz . . . what a waste . . . not that much improvement over 2.4Ghz . . .

How much did you sell your old 1.8 for?

😀

Letsee, that's about a 15% clockspeed improvement at a lower FSB . . . for how much $$ for the "upgrade"?

Pssst...apoppin...PC800 is RDRAM and the TH7-II is an i850 motherboard. 😉

Psst, zippy- I quoted Hardware's system specs from his own thread. (Some other things may have also changed since he is using less RAM, also now and mentions DDR in his sig).

EDIT: Thought you'd get away with it? 😀 . . . um, nevermind.

My home server is a P2.4 1G PC 800
my work pc is now 149*19 = 2831 with DDR 256MB (768) DDR-398
the WD 120G 7200 8MB feels pretty fast!

What happened to "2859 *CONFIRMED*"?

What RAM and MB are you running and was the extra 400Mhz a stable, noticeable and worthwhile upgrade? How does the DDR system compare to the RDRAM system?

I was running 154*19= 2926 but my ram cant do DDR 406
my midi tower is closesd to heat is a problem for me.

What happened to "<B>2859</B> *CONFIRMED*"?

I think 2840 with DDR 398 seems optimal for me
