Need to provide a little more info....

you want DDR 333 or 400 support?
Are you confident that you don't want any of the following:
Lan?
RAID?
Intergrated sound, video?

Additionally:
Overclocking options?
USB 2.0?
Firewire?
AGP 8x or 4(2)x?

FWIW, if you are not going to overclock, I had been inclined to purchase an Intel 845G or 845E (your basic vanilla board). However, I will be pulling the trigger on an ASUS p4s8x myself early next month. I don't overclock, but I believe with the DDR 333 support and 8x AGP I will be good to go for 3 years (hopefully)

If you've got approximately month to wait you could purchase the Intel Brand 845PE or 845GE when those are released. While they are certainly not the most flashy of motherboards, they would (most likely) be the most stable. Otherwise you could look into motherboards constructed using the 648 chipset like the ASUS p4s8x or the Abit SR7X. Sorry I can't be of much more help but I don't have the depth of knowledge that some users here do. Can anyone else offer valid suggestions???

Gigabyte 8SG667. Check the review a very good board. $100? For that price it will one of the best buys out there. I'm just waiting for it to come out so I can find out how it oc's a 1.6A.

I'm running my P4 2.4A on a Gigabyte GA-8IHXP. It's got the ATA100 for the normal IDE interfaces, and ATA133 for the onboard RAID controller.

But, as a downside to your situation, I'm running mine with PC1066 RDRAM, which is hella expensive compared to *any* DDR RAM. It also had USB 2.0 - a whole 10 of the bastards! :)

I'm using the same board chiron is using. It's one awesome mb. The only thing it doesn't have is a fireware. Everything else is included on the board. If your doing graphics why wouldn't you want something that pumping out more bandwidth in the memory? <---Just asking!

Good Luck!

Just so ya know...I don't believe that the p4s533 "offically" supports DDR 333

It does.

Memory
3 x DDR DIMM Sockets
Max. 3GB unbuffered PC2700 / PC2100 /PC1600 DDR DRAM
(PC 2700 Max. to 4 banks only)

I'm running a 512mb stick of Corsair PC3200C2 @ 375Mhz. My SiSandra Mem Scores are 2851/2851. :D

I agree it looks like a good board, BUT it doesn't have on-board LAN or RAID.
