P4 2.4ghz - Which fan to choose?

Im looking for a CPU fan for my p4 2.4ghz. Any good recommendations? Is the thermal compound really necessary? I do play games and run lots of things simultaneously on my comp. Thanks in advance.

You can just use the retail Intel Heatsink/fan. I removed the thermal pad that came with the heatsink and used some Arctic Silver. My cpu temperature ranges from 36c to 48c. My cpu is a P4 1.6a overclocked to 2.4ghz.
