Yay or Nay? currently have a non-viable comp for proper OCing. P4 2.4B...but coupled with a SiS651 chipset with PC2100 RAM.
Is the PC3200 RAM good enough? price is a concern. 3500 is out of the question ;)
the RAM will probably be made by Kingston. I've yet to ask for a specific model.

Yay. Good quality PC3200 will generally support a 2.4C overclock to around 3gig. A little more or less depending on all sorts of OCing issues. But all things being equal cheap PC3200 will not overclock as well as high quality ram.

ONE of the best overclockers around (Thugsrook) uses PC3000 in his system. But it's high quality stuff and he has a bundle of overclocking knowledge.

Here's some of the better overclocks recorded. Note that there's a 366 fsb overclock on top using PC3200 DDR. That's like a 2.4gig P4 running at 4.4gig! Ranking
