p4 2.4 overclocking pls help

hi i have a p4 2.4 and i want to overclock it to 3.0. I have overclock it to 3.0 already but it is very unstable. I'm using the heat sink and fan that orginally came with the p4 chip. Any recommendations for a good heat sink and fan that would make my system stable at 3.0. Any other suggestion would be great too thanks.

I rather it to be quiet but minimal noise from the fan is ok. Thanks Again

What kind of temperatures are you getting?

Also, listing the specs of your processor (i.e. stepping, batch#), mobo, and ram would help people assist you further, as I doubt it is the heat that is preventing you from obtaining 3ghz stable.
