Just like the title says. Which one would be better?
Both of them would run the same DDR memory, so it's
up to the processor.

Anyone tried to compare?

BTW, this is the only program that PC runs :)

:D BIG diff in price but here's some links. Oh don't forget you'll need PC2700 minimum with P4 but an AthlonXP is more than fine with PC2100 and not even hideously hurt by SDR PC133! Anyway do note the systems using diff RAM types and FSB speeds but here goes ...

;) Considering the cost I'd say plump for an XP2000+ to XP2200+ type CPU, if you want more then go for a NW P4 on a 533FSB or 400FSB if you want to o/c.

Thanks a lot, man!
Looks like P4 would be a better solution. The only thing is...
I have a gigabyte 845E chipset board that only supports PC2100.. :(
But I think I've read that it does have unoficial support for PC2700 :)

I already have both combos.. Just have to decide which one to sell :) :) :)

;) Luckily PC2100 isn't at all awful for P4, it's just that PC2700 is a fair bit better (Rambus type speed). Also IIRC Intel 845 DDR mobos actually supported PC2700 but couldn't actually declare it or guarantee it 100% as the spec was late being finalised, as such you should almost certainly be able to run your mobo at PC2700 speeds! If your PC2100 is CAS2.0 and esp branded it should run at PC2700 with the slowest RAM timings, even so I'd strongly rec buying certified PC2700, 512MB should be the least you'll want and I'd rec 512MB PC2100 over 256MB PC2700. Anyway, see what other people can tell you about your mobo ...
