I'm new to overclocking and I just built up a P4 2.4B c1 stepping on an Asus P4PE/L board. I'm a little concerned about the temps. I'm using an SLK800U with an 80mm fan. here are the temps I'm getting:
Idle:
mobo 31C
cpu 38-40C
under full load (hotcpu):
mobo 34C
cpu 51C
The system seems to be running fine, but I am concerned about the high cpu temps under full load. Am I better off going with the stock cooler?
The other interesting thing is that even at stock speeds, the temps remain unchanged. The cpu idles at 38-39C and under max load is around 48-49C. I'm hoping once the AS3 'cures' temps will go down.
