What Vcore you at there? Air cooled in FL huh. Got your rig by an AC unit?
1.7v bios ~ shows as 1.675v windows.

air cooled. sp-94 + 80mm L1A

its nice down here in S-FLA this time of year, no AC needed.

im now using a AI7 motherboard for the extra vdimm (3.2v), thats why i can now run higher :)

the 2.26b is really nice cheap OCable upgrade for a lot of current Intel owners. no need to buy $339 chips ;)

What kind of load temps are you getting with that slow (but quiet) fan? I guess it wont be run there 24/7,

i donno ~ didnt bother to look.
ive already run 3.8ghz on other chips on this rig and it runs nice and cool. the sp-94 does a great job even with only a 80mm L1A. ive also tested 80mm M1A, 92mm L1A, and 92mm M1A, and altho it gets better its not by much.

na, i dont run like that 24/7. ill prolly run it on default voltage or maybe a little more, but thats all.

:)

3.8 is within reach for sure..

:)

Good Luck.

3.8 is within reach on air with a chip that traditionally maxes out at 3.5? I dont see where youre getting that guess from.

3.61g is certainly a beautiful OC for an M0.

Oh what a suprise. 3.8 it is.

@ 3.54ghz 208fsb def vcore ~ p95 L-FFTs...

sys = 35*C
pwm = 45*C
cpu = 52*C

(translation for Asus owners....
sys = 35*C
cpu = 45*C)

Nice chip Thugrook, i had a D1 stepping that was pretty good too. Paid like $105 for the retail box at the Egg late last summer.... It had a June/04 pack date but i never wrote the Sspec code down. It did something like 3.8 on stock vcore and 4ghz with 1.65v on water.
Heres the last thing i posted on it at XtremeSystems: 2.26b @ 4.3GHz

That was a fun chip

NOw that is pretty amazing...

I know Thugs doesn't use HT much, but when my 2.4c was at 3.5ghz if I turned HT off or had multithreaded not checked in the menus of TMPGenc 2.52 it was a hit of 22% in performance (or longer time)...Doing the math and figuring linear movement (which is being generous, but we will figure the added bus will make up the diff) a +22% would need a cpu of 4.27ghz to equal same speed.....with No HT that is....

My CAD app (ADT2004 and VizRender) also with multithreaded checked was 22% faster then with it unchecked.....

I give props to the mad ocing but a "B" chip for me even at 3.8ghz would have been a step backwards from my 2.4c@3.5.....

HT is the great leveler to the penalty (IMO) of the P4's massive pipeline.....HT is only been able to work because of this architecture feature and thus it helps to minimize the penalties it otherwise has...

NOw I know Thugs Games, and for him that is not an area of HT support. So for him and his uses, this is a flat out faster cpu....
