Must be a typo. I thought the only socket change will be coming with the introduction of the Northwoods and the shrink to .13micron technology...Maybe the W is code for Willamette...

actually FKloster there was an article in a thread yesterday that linked an article that said that is where this 1.8 would price at...with the 2.0ghz to follow shortly and come in at that price...

Shouldn't be long before those .13 P4 parts start hitting the channels.

The P4 was held to 1.7gHz because Intel deemed the power draw to be more than acceptable for the tolerances they were aiming at. The .13 parts will drop the power draw of the P4 quite alot plus it adds in new features not found on the current P4.
