P4 1.8A system done, normal?

Got my:

1.8A P4
Asus P4B533
Kingston PC2700 512MB DDR RAM
PNY GF4 4400
SB Audigy
350W PS
Big case, like 7 fans
etc.

My question is my DDR ram will run at 127Hhz FSB at 4/3x, so 169Mhz, which is a tad over the spec'ed 166Mhz. I tried 132Mhz but windows would not boot. I also tried 1/1 ratio at 133Mhz and the whole system wouldn't boot, not even the BIOS. I did not up the vcore though.

I assume the extra bandwidth from the ram running at 169Mhz is far better than trying to push the CPU to 2.4Ghz (2.29Ghz now) and underclocking the ram to 133Mhz (spec'ed at 166). Right?

Assuming my system runs stable (IMO stable > fast), I am happy. I am overlooking anything? Was I dumb not buying faster DDR?

Try upping the voltage to the cpu and after that try upping the voltage to the memory.
Remember 1 change at a time.

I've had to bump the memory down to 125x4/3=166Mhz. NWN was crashing last night, not sure if it's the game or the machine yet.
