nice work there Techdonut!

tell me one thing: with a rig as fast as yours, and with a 9700 Pro, shouldnt you be getting higher than 15,356 3d marks in 3dmark2k1? i would have though a rig like yours would pull in at least 16xxx if not the low 17000's.

you have your ram at ddr 440, cpu > 3 ghz, and the best video card out today.

maybe i've just been spoiled seeing these crazy o/c's that others have using LN2 and high-powered setup, o/c'ing their video card as well...

thanks :)

With a Radeon 9700 pro and further tweaking you'll probably be able to hit around 18K or above in 3D mark with that setup. Very interesting to see what your results will be. I'm contemplating my next replacement board for my current P4S533. Your results have been extremely helpful.

That is what I am getting with the 9700 not overclocked.

MadOnion CPU Info

I did have to pause my stress testing to install the 9700. I just could not stop wondering how it would do. ;) I will have to look into it, but it seems plenty fast to me. :)

EDIT: Toymaker, I am very impressed with the stability and overclockability of the IT7 MAX. There is a MAX2 available, but I am satisfied with this one. :)

EDIT: I have run the UT 2003 benchmark: (No tweaks or maxed detail settings. NAV & Internet Security running in the background)
