I picked up this little gem up today. Right now i am sitting at 150 fsb 2699mhz 1.6vcore (bios) actual1.64-1.68 torture testing. Keep ya posted...

150 fsb failed prime95 @ 1.5v(bios) <1min
150 fsb failed prime95 @ 1.55v(bios) 3 hrs
150 fsb failed prime95 @ 1.575v(bios) 50 mins

Temperature volcano 7+ (low): CPU 47c load/MB 28c load

my mb does overvolt a bit too...

its gonna take ya 1.6v to make it past 10-12 hours...

that seems to be on par for these current 1.8A chips :)

Yes I have same question...since I rarely see a board that when you set it to a specific vcore in bios and it actuall;y delivers that I question maybe the voltages you are listing....If you are running and asus mobo you could be .03 to .06v higher then what you set in bios...if you run an epox 4g4a you could be .02 to .04v less then set in bios and therefore you may have a really really good chip on your hand.

now why would giving my chip more voltage fail faster.

150 fsb failed prime95 @ 1.55v(bios) 3 hrs
150 fsb failed prime95 @ 1.575v(bios) 50 mins

insufficient ps? just weird luck...
my mb does overvolt a bit too

xms corsair 2700 at 2.6v 2.0-3-3-6 <-- that wouldnt be affecting anything now would it?

Set your RAM on the least aggressive timings until you get your CPU OC worked out (and make sure you leave it on 1:1 ratio). What PSU do you have? You can use Asus Probe to check your voltage rails and see if they're where they should be.

r u using 3:4 mem trick?
better set back to 1:1 ratio to make sure it's not your ram holding you back

i believe it would be set to auto
1:1 would overclock the mem if his "undocumented jumper" is on
so to be sure set it to auto

ok...correction, make sure you don't have the dip switch 6 on...make sure it is off and set mem ratio to 1:1 and slowest memory time setting 2.5-3-3-7

ok, we need to take 2 steps back....
now 2 steps forward...
and 2 steps back ~ now were doing the cha cha!

there are no shortcuts to overclocking ~ short of already knowing your system ;)
