Ok I have a 1.8 northwood, p4b266-c, 2 256M crucial pc2100 memory.
I removed the usb controllers and put ps2 mouse and keyboard.
Cards are visiontek geforce2, 3com 3c905b.

I can't get over 100 fsb. If I do and manage to get windows up, it takes
a minute to open a folder. AND 5 minutes to shut down.

Ok there is turbo I and II, 4:3 and 1:1 memory timings and vcore voltage.

I have a 300W powersupply NON P4 that I am using. Some have said that
might be my problem (I have ordered an Enermax 350 but don't have it yet)
Hope today it arrives.

What should my settings be in the bios?
Should I be using turbo?
memory timings?
Anything that might get this chip to do something, so I know if its the chip or me?

thanks for any and all help

try using turbo-1 settings. Also make sure you up the core Voltage in the BIOS. I have to set my voltage to 1.6 V to hit 2.25 GHz with my 1.8 northwood and 1.675 V to hit 2.4 GHz.

pull out all cards except vid card and ram...Also uplug any unnecessary drives and fans...This may be able to confirm hardware issue or power supply problem...
