P4 1.7 Ghz on a socket 478 mobo?

Is it possible to put the P4 1.7Ghz processor (Willamette) for socket 423 on a socket 478 mobo? I'm asking since the existing mobo only supports up to 512MB (PC100/133) SDRAM and an AGP 4x display card only.

Make sure with CPU-Z that your processor is indeed S423. I had a P4 1.7GHz and it was a 478. It now belongs to my brother (The system description can be found in my rigs page).
