For all the people who have overclocked their P4 1.6As, what kind of memory have you guys been using?
I'm considering either the 512mb sticks of Mushkin PC2100 Cas2 Memory, or the Crucial PC2100 512mb Stick, with the Mushkin costing about $10 cheaper.

What memory have been using?
Whats the memory speed?
What are your timings?
What BIOS settings are you using?

I'm sure this information would be helpful for a lot of people looking to build P4 Northwood rigs.

Im using Crucial DDR 256mb sticks (2) supposed to be CL 2.5.
Ive run it at 144fsb (288mhz) with CL 2.5 or 138-142fsb (270-284mhz) with CL2
The BIOS settings are SPD (above 142) or the fastest (below 142)

im using 1 256 mushkin high perf 2100
CL 2225, 133fsb, 1:1 ratio
bios settings on P4B266-C are manual like the latency timings, ratio. also have it set to turbo 1 mode but I dont know what that does exactly.

I have run this at 150 but got lockups. dont know if the memory had anything to do with it or not. 140 and 145 were pretty stable. although, I really dont know how to tell if the memory is the problem when oc'ing or not.

I'm using 1- 512 Mushkin 2100 2-3-3 from Newegg. Nanya chips. I can do 140 at 1.65v (Prime 95 3hrs so far) ram at 1:1, Turbo1, SPD. Can't do 145 at same settings. 143 is the supposed limit for Nanya chips at cas 2.5 I would like more, but don't know what else to set.

1 X 256 MB Crucial ECC DDR runs @ 166 MHz DDR (333 MHz) with no instability whatsoever on a P4B266.

P4B266, 1.8A

Started with 2 sticks of Crucial 512Mb (with Infineon chips). RAM had problems above 305Mhz. Sometimes wouldn't POST, other times wouldn't boot into Windows, sometimes got all the way but would fail Prime95.

Got 2 x 256Mb of Kingmax PC2700 5ns. Running fine at 340Mhz, cas2. This RAM works fine at all the speeds the Crucial wouldn't.

From my experience (FWIW), I'd use the Crucial up to PC2400 speeds, and the Kingmax (or some other PC2700/DDR333) RAM at higher speeds.

I use a single Crucial 256mb pc2100 at 350mhz in my MSI 645 Ultra. cas 2.5 and normal timing option in the bios to run at that speed.

I have a second one but I haven't tried using them both yet.
