P4 1.6/1.8 overclocks getting worse?

Normally we see improvement in yields of high speed capable chips as production continues. However the Pentium 4 is now spread over more speed grades than when the Northwood was introduced, and the 1.6A is being phased out supposedly. So maybe the 1.6A grade now really is mostly those chips that don't quite cut it at high speed. I'm told the 2.4 and 2.53 are on modified core but I'm not sure about that.
So, does anyone want to share the love or loathing of their P4 chip? Feel welcome to post how your overclock is, along with pack date etc. on the retail box sticker.
Hope you're having fun with them.

Intel Pentium 4 1.6A @ 2400Mhz 1.6v core
Pack Date, Location: 03/20/02, COSTA RICA
32C at idle, stock cooler

I need a better power supply to go any higher, but it is running great at 2.4 with much more room to go with more power.

Check my rig... My 1.6A is definately not as good as most others. Need 1.7V just to get 2133 stable.

EDIT: Ah, it's a costa rica chip, and I don't know the pack date. I got it 3 weeks ago.

Ahhh...get over that costa rica BS....It has been discussed and disproven that has anything to do with it....The p4 core is not even manufactured in costa rica, just pakaged....

I think I have noticed the opposite...I have seen many getting 1.6's up over 2.4 then in the beginning....look at thugs setup...

I agree mobo choice can and has limited many in their endeavors...
