I was told that there were 2 versions for this board and someone said that the 2nd revision has some problems. I am not sure if this is true. thanks

Actually there are two different clock generators used depending on the revision. Most of the problems are more related to the VIA chipset then the Asus board. The P3V4X is still one of the best VIA based boards.
