p3v4x: won't detect CD-Rom

It will detect the cdrom when I set it to "auto" in the bios. It identifies correctly when booting up, but after it displays all found drives, it says "...not operating correctly" or something like that. It's the same message you get when your hdd is fried. I've tried all master/slave primary/secondary combinations and It always detects but says it has a problem. I then tried a different cdrom that I know works cuz I used it this morn. Same problem. I'm beginning to think it's the mobo. Any ideas?

Nevermind. It's the mounting holes of the p3v4x and the inwin case. metal/metal contact. that sucks.
