P3V4X V7700 not recognized on boot

I have a Asus P3V4X mobo with a v7700 vid card.
9 out of 10 times that I boot, I get beep codes
that indicate the vid card was not found and no
video. I then push down on the vid card and reboot and I post. Now normally one would say,
the vid card is not seated correctly in the AGP
slot, but if I seat this thing any harder it will
come out the other side of the mobo! 🙂 I know there are known issues concerning the VIA chipset
with this card, but does anyone have any suggestions or know of any issues quite like this one? Thanks for all your help!
