I was wondering if there is any software that i can use to monitor temps on these MB. I have both the cd's that came with these MB but i dont see any software HD monitoring.

Probe 2 is a hardware monitoring software program that will provide information on system temps, fan speeds, ect. I comes on the motherboard driver disk. Is this what you are looking for?

Bartman39,

This strange temperature reading that you're talking about are they something like a jumps
in the temperature when you do some kind of activity like starting a program??

Because if they are, I have the same problem with my P3V4X and I could not find a solution
to them...i've tried different software monitors differents sloteks and nothing...finnally
I gave up trying to solve the problem.....

I've had both these mainboards and IMHO Motherboard Monitor is still the best to monitor temperature, fan speed, etc.

Thornc,

Yes that also happens to some of the MB`s in question... Motherboard monitor is a good and very well used program and may solve your problems but I have been using CPUCool (latest version along with the latest bios rev.) The main problem with the CUSL2 was the temp was reading way to cool to be resonable (around 20 to 30 degrees to cool). But I also had problems with ASUS probe with loss of fan rpm`s for very short times (gaps more or less when starting programs).

MassMhz

I've tried all the latest bios, Asus Probes, MM and they all endup showing the same!!!

I think a narrowed my/the problem down to the slot1/fcpga adapter being used, I've tried
several different ones, I did have some nice improvements with the on I'm now using but
is not the perfect one yet.... I had a cheap one that the Asus Probe would show temperature
increases just by moving the mouse on the screen......

Anyone knows of good adapters???
