P3V4X and Creative ensoniq AudioPCI lockup after driver install

Just as it says after the audiodriver is installed system just lockes up. I got a S3 Savage installed that works fine and a ISA 3com 509 card. i got the AGP driver 4.03 and the IRQ Miniport driver installed.

It drives me nuts...

I have installed a few Ensoniq/P3V4X and they have worked fine, but my supplier doesn't offer Esoniq/P3V4X configs anymore because there have been to many problems with that combo.

any particular tips ? i mean.. for the rest i love my P3V4x its so stable but this no audio blows..

Techz, do you have a midsized tower or normal size? I know it's OT, but I'm wondering what size to get. I'd help with your problem but I have neither the sound card, nor the motherboard (yet).

I don't really have any tips since it worked fine for me. Have you unistalled/reinstalled the soundcard since you installed the newest VIA drivers?
