P3V4X and booting into safe mode, how?

I push every darn F5 through F10 trying to get into safe mode, arg. how do I get in? I thought it was F5, not too sure. bahh this is so silly.

The only way I got around this issue was to download and install
X-TEQX. and loaded all the plugins. There is any option in one them that allows the F4,F5, and F8 keys to be active at boot. Good Luck!🙂

Bobby, I seem to remember that it's shift+F5. I might be wrong...try it out though.

F8 will allow you into Safe mode.

Make sure you press F8 right before the windows 98 splash screen.

F8 is the way to get into safe mode on a clean install of Win 98 but if you upgraded to Win 98 over Win 95 then hold down the control button before the splash screen.
