P3B-F Bios Version

Hi All,

Before a purchase, how can I tell how new of a bios
version is on the board? On the Asus site they have versions
1005 and 1006 available. Would a newer board already have
the newer versions installed?

thanks, Ziggyman

You couldn't - not unless the seller booted up the board for you and looked. What's the concern, anyway? Just flash upgrade your BIOS when you get it.

True. I flashed my BIOS once on a TX97X, it went smooth.
But all the warnings about it possible going bad was enough
to make me not do it again unless I had to.

Ziggyman says Thanks!

You may be able to get the newest BIOS when you buy a new MB, but it will last only 3-6 months. The new version will come out and you will be left behind. Since you do not want to flash it, why worry about what version it is.
