Will the P45 chipset deliver faster fps over a P35 board? I'm not looking for a new vid card or cpu, but if it does offer a little bit of performance increase I'll be sold.

Thanks

From my minimal tests in supreme commander, I definitely gained with the P45 but my tests are not scientific by any means. I just went from a MSI P35 Neo2-FR to a MSI P45 Neo3-FR. I suspect PCI-e 2.0 helps but IMHO the gain (if truly anything) is very minimal.

Depends on what CPU you have as well. My E7200 maxes out at around 3.73Ghz, as seen in sig. If I clocked my E7200 on a P45 motherboard, I'm pretty sure that it'd max out at more or less the same speed as well.

The gaming difference should be very minimal. I'd say the difference should be just a couple of FPS.
