X38 if you will be going quad as they are probably more stable for overclocking a quad... but a nice P45 would do you good also for that quad

note also that Abit is leaving the mobo business (they claim they will support existing boards for 3 yrs, but how hard do you think they'll be trying?!).

I own the IP35-E board with a Q9300. OC'ing is not a problem. However, it doesn't feel like the most stable board. It has little quirks and stuff that make it annoying sometimes. If money is an issue, I would say go with it, as it is very cheap right now. If you could spring for a similar Asus or Gigabyte board, I would be much more happy with one of those.

Like I said though, the P35 does not have any problems with the Quad core and OC'ing. Just not a fan of the Abit. Also getting the drivers is a pain cause I think they moved their site to a crappy host, so it takes forever to load and sometimes is just wont.

As mentioned, go for the P45 board. I tried to run a high clock on the P35 with my quad and got next to nowhere, also had an X48 which is the same as an X38 but with a higher binned NB and that was just marginal.
