Hi everyone, so I'm looking to do a new build with a Q6600 + a P35 board, but was wondering which board(s) would work best to use two video cards in (both pci-x if possible). I was hoping to hook up 3 LCD's + 1 Plasma, so ideally I would use a 8600GTS or ATI 24/2600 to drive one LCD and one plasma (to get HD decoding) and then a lower-end card with dual dvi to drive two LCD's.

So, would there be any issues in having that sort of setup with say a P5K or DQ6? I've read that the cards should ideally be both nvidia's or both ati's to reduce driver issues, but most of the threads i've read deal with pci-x + pci setups. Thanks for the help!

you can use two ATi or two nVIDIA cards to drive multiple monitors.
I'd suggest a P5K Deluxe rev1.01G

Successfully run two nVIDIA PCI-Express cards on the P5K Deluxe & the P5K3 Deluxe ;)

Ah, great to hear! The card that runs on the 2nd x16 slot won't complain that it's running at less than 16x then right?
