I read somewhere that G35 motherboards are coming out in November and that their onboard video is better than the one in the G33. I think I'll wait for those as I plan on using the onboard video for a little bit.
Anything new on the mATX P35 / G35 / G45 front? I'd like to see a mATX board that has at least six USB ports on the back AND NO parallel / serial ports.
ASUS is about to launch a new P5E-VM HDMI mobo thats a G35 mobo. Europe gets it first and North America will probably get it two or three weeks after if history repeats itself.
According to Intel there are 2 uatx p35 motherboards, I don't know who sells them though. Foxconn G337MC-8EKRS2H, Foxconn G337MC-8KS2H see; Intel's motherboard matrix
Just select P35 as chipset and scroll down.
I think you mean the Foxconn P357MC-8EKRS2H and the Foxconn P357MC-8KS2H (from looking at the Intel list). But I just searched over at Foxconn Channel, and it's not on the list of P35 boards they offer. And there are no Google results for "P357MC" other than what's on Intel's webpage.
I'm not sure where Intel is getting this info from, since even Foxconn isn't publicly acknowledging that this thing exists .
As far as the chipsets go they'll probably be on par performance wise but most mATX manufacturers do not set up the mobo BIOS for good overclocking. The two best mATX mobos for overclocking currently is the DS2R and the P5K-VM. Its hoped the P5E-VM HDMI will become the next good overclocker but there's no gurantee ASUS will allow for it. We'll have to see what it can do once its released. Pvhk plans to get it as soon as it releases so many over at HF and XS are awaiting his results once he gets one. Watch that thread I linked for more info as it comes in.
