p35-ds3r rev 1.0 and e6750.

Board has F4 bios. I successfully downloaded F5 to a formatted floppy. Ran Q-Flash...passed. On reboot, bios is STILL F4. Tried twice. Cpu not o'clocked. I noted on reboot, that bios recovery was operating before successfully booting to F4. Apparently, the board doesn't want to accept the new bios. I checked the floppy and it is indeed F5. Any ideas? thanks in advance.

My first thought is a bad floppy. Q-Flash can read flash media (USB flash drives, etc), so I'd try loading the BIOS off of that instead. I'd also go for the F8 BIOS instead of F5 just because.

Thanks. I also downloaded the F5 to a flash drive, but the Q-Flash options only showed the floppy...floppy A and floppy B.

Tried again going to Q-Flash in the bios and using my usb flshdrive. It took. Any opinions on the newer bioses for this board? I note they go to F7.

I'm glad it finally took. It goes up to F8 now, which is what I'd recommend using.

F8 is final. Compared to F5 it adds some fixes for PS/2 keyboards, Yorkfield support, and better DDR2 voltage control (at least among the published changes).
