I was decided to buy the DS3L (cheapest of the two) but then I thought what was the main difference between R and L, and it is worth to pay an extra 45 (in chile) bucks for the change.
Also, how is the on-board sound? I was hinking of avoiding a new sound card.
It will be using it with E6750 OC to (hope) 3.2 and 8800gt.

thanks!

The onboard sound is ok if you aren't an audiophile.

Both are almost identical except the DS3R has onboard RAID and other goodies.

And more SATA ports. Of course, there's also the DS3P, which gives even more stuff, a better board design (includes 4/8-pin CPU power connector, not just 4-pin), heat pipe, etc.

The on board sound of the DS3R (Gigabyte GA-P35-DS3R Revision 2.0) is superb. There is absolutely no need for you to buy an add on sound card. Make sure you have a good pair of speaker (such as Klipsch Promedia 2.1) to enjoy the sound quality that the on board sound chip is outputting.

The DS3R Rev 2.0 also have more USB ports on the I/O back plate (8 USB ports), bigger north bridge heat sink, RAID.

But in terms of OC, both motherboard behave similar?.. Because it seems that I will go with the L version, and the thing is that if I can OC a E6750 to at least 3.2.

thanks

The DSL shoud hit 3.2 (400 X 8) fairly easily. I ran both the E2160 and E4500 on the DS3L at 400X 8 easily
